My Microwave is ten years old I would say i definitely got my moneys worth. It has just now started to malfunction when I try to set the time for 45 seconds it makes a loud clicking sound so I™™m afraid to use it

We have owned three of these microwaves, all the same model over the past ten years. Love the user interface and controls - reason we have returned to this model.
The first couple lasted many, many years. We loved the size, usability, and reliability. Unfortunately our current one manufactured in February 2023 has died in July 2025, a lifetime of about 2.5 years. Now starting to wonder if we should purchase another one? If the microwave had lasted 5 years I would automatically buy another, but now wonderng if we can get expected reliability in a different brand?

I love this microwave! We got this microwave along with the home we purchased 7 years ago. They left it here as they were relocating to another state and a new home for them. It was about 2 years old then. It has just recently stopped heating food. I am searching for another one and have stumbled upon this identical one. the spot we have it is snug, and not easy to adjust to accommodate another machine. I am going to purchase same one again. I have been surprised and pleased at the consistent power and reliability this machine has given us. For its size, it has nice wattage as well, and this is not an easy combo to find in other options I have learned. if you are not sure, this one is the one I recommend to anyone in the market for a new one.

The microwave worked great for 22 months and then broke. I tried to reheat some leftovers for lunch. When I pressed the Start button, it made a pop sound and then a louder-than-normal humming sound. I immediately pressed the Cancel button. I restarted it but my food did not heat at all. I unplugged and replugged the unit and tried again however my food did not heat up. I am not planning on paying to have it serviced because that would cost more than buying a new microwave. Bummer donuts.

Love the cooking power. Just right! Some microwaves over cook and rubberize your food. For customers complaining about keypad wear they need to remove plastic shipping film as mine was showing wear. Protective film fits keypad exactly so hard to know it should be removed. Husband feels door is plastic and cheap and really flys open but we are use to that now and better feet so it doesn't slide on counter would be nice. It has thrown a few errors for no reason but each time we have been able to get it working again. Overall I like the looks and the cooking abilities are absolutely perfect power. I would recommend this microwave. Of course with each passing year all products everywhere are getting cheaper and cheaper and materials in GE products are not what they use to be.

Door fitment is a little sloppy, not sealing tight. Heats good. Can™™t silence sound which was disappointing. I think ours was supposed to have a sticker/guide to quick settings buttons which is missing. A little disappointed over our old MW which this replaced.

This microwave replaced our old one which was made in 2006, so naturally we purchased another GE. The only difference is the number pad is much smaller and a bit harder to use. Otherwise, it works beautifully and we love it.

My prior GE microwave, which I owned for over 25 years, finally died one day so I went out to buy another identical oven because of the stellar service I enjoyed for so long. This one looks very similar so I'm glad you maintained the design features, nice and simple, however, unfortunately, it seems you may have engineered a bit of the weight or the strength of the steel out of the product? It still works great, just sounds a little different. I do hope this one lasts nearly as long.

We are replacing a GE microwave from 1999. The only reason we are replacing it is it was starting to rust where the turntable runs. This new one is almost the exact same one. This unit has a fan that vibrates quite a bit that is annoying. The other noticeable issue is you cannot adjust the volume of the beeper like you could on the old one and it is very loud.

It came without instructions and cooking was wildly inconsistent and it blew up (lost all power and functions) the day after I could return it to Amazon. Parts are unavailable and the rebate is so delayed

We have had this Microwave for less than a month and have had to unplug it 3 times to clear an error code.
We had a Panasonic of the same power and size for over 25 years and it's only problem was it was black. If it continues we will be returning it.

I am disappointed with how the buttons already show damage from my fingernails touching them! Also, I don't like that it doesn't always show the length of time an item is heating for, such as on" Reheat". I have no point of reference for how long I should expect the item to be in the microwave or for the next time I cook a similar item.

Bought this MW to replace the GE microwave we had for 17 years. we have always had great results with GE appliances , and this seems to be operating smoothly , How ever some of the features are different on this new one . no timed reheat is crazy, and the quality of the door seems cheaply made , too much plastics .but as long as it holds up to everyday use its good

Classic GE microwave is smaller than expected, i should read more carefully. I was replaçant an 8 year old GE Microwave and thought i was getting thà same model. I should havà purchased a 2.4 cúbico foot model
I do not like how this unit slides around when i use it. I tried adding sticky silicone feet but was not successful.

Had it for about one week now. It is okay but does not heat as evenly as my old one. What I used to heat up with 1.5 minutes I now need to for sure pull it out stir it and put it back in for another minute.
I replaced the old one with another GE because of how well it did for so long. The buttons are in different locations on this one - i wish they would keep the buttons the same from model to model. I keep hitting the wrong one.

Very light weight. Wish it had the option of entering seconds because I have several items I must microwave less than 30 secs. Door was a little difficult to shut, but have learned to brace the top and close the door. Works fine.

Size could be reduced somewhat. Power good. Power controls easy to read on light background. The push lever to open the door seems like it will easily break in the future as it is tippy and not stable feeling. Overall a good product for the price.

GE makes a great and easy to use microwave. Very easy to clean and take care of. I love the preset buttons for potatoes! Grill night has never been easier when my potatoes take half the time. My husband loves the 1 minute timer for heating his afternoon coffee.
